Saturday AM cuddle princesses!

The gang is all cuddled up in Mommy's bed watching Sat. am cartoons... you notice that the Clarabella has elected a no clothing day!!!

I neglected to let you know that the boys are 5.5 months old. so they are not babies, but still young-ones.

Lemieux is sitting up!!! Shy is about asleep.. he's had enough of all this playing.. .I think we are going to head out for some shopping and let the boys rest and explore a bit... before the long night. Maybe Claire will take a nap in the car! A woman can dream!

They're HERE!!!

The kitties have landed... this place is a zoo! Last night was such a blast... Tim and I went to pick "the boys" up as Aunt Mel watched "the girls". The boys and girls met each other at the front door with much excitement and giggles..... there has been a lot of hugging and chasing and a few scratches.... but mostly love. They played for a few hours until Claire pooped out and fell asleep. Then Mary Kate cried because she "loves her kitty so much and just wants him to sleep in my bed"... she just didn't understand that they cats we're ready for hugging all night.

The boys and I had a long night... interesting how Tim is conveniently hunting..... it was like having an infant in the house again. I'm exhausted.. but it was worth it... they are sooo sweet. Lemiuex is the white and black "Big Man"... he is much bigger than his brother. He is a cuddle bug and loves to purr at night. But he is very cautious. I would be if Claire was my keeper!

Shy... is also very sweet. He is a black and gray tiger... a little guy... a bit runtish. He purrs a lot, and he adores Mary. They are both really enjoying the discovery of the house and the fun to be had with all the "stuff".

Both have a 'shadowy" eye. Their entire litter did. They've been to a cat eye specialist... who knew... and they're sight is fine. We'll go and have them checked out next week.

Tim seemed... well. Thrilled. If he had his choice they would be big dogs! But that is not going to happen right now. A few months ago, I bitten by a friend's dog and have been a little skittish ever since. Trips to PetSmart are a little interesting... I'm sure I'll get over it... I'd prefer a little tea cup poodle... Tim would like a huge hunting dog.... someday we'll agree.

What an awesome relaxing Saturday am we are having... the girls aren't fighting... they are kitty following. I am in my office checking email and listening to my awesome new Christmas CDs... Casting Crowns sophomore effort, " Lifesong"... So far, not as good as the first.. .but good... love their music. And Sugarland's debut "Twice the Speed of Life"... that is really good ... I need to see if their Unplugged with BonJovi is available. Good music, good coffee, happy girls in their new house... pretty purrr-fect!

Thanks to Aunt Mel and Grandma Karen for being our first kitty visitors and of course to Aunt Robbie and Aunt Gracie for the idea, the fun and all the help.. You were right... they love it!

Our family is growing!!!!

Welll, you lucky bloggers are getting the newsflash first... our family is growing....

And NO it is most certainly NOT a baby brother as pap has been hoping for....

Tomorrow or Friday, we will be adopting "Shy" and "Lemieux"... they are the two sweetest little cats in the world...Can't wait to post some pics of the girls with their new freinds. Claire is now asking every day if "my kitty comes today?" One day at a time, sweetie.... It took forever, but we are adopting from Pet Friends Inc. (www.petfriendsinc.com) they have been great. But I must say some other organizations have not. I think we could have gotten a baby from China easier!

Now Skittles, Milo and Harley have cousins!!!

Santa Claus came to the town!!!

Every day since we put the tree up, Claire has been saying, "Mommy, Santa Claus is coming to the town???" Meaning, Is this the day....

Well, thanks to Pap Pap Fran and Gram, we got a special visit from the jolly old elf himself.... This says it all! Mary Kate was speechless. and that NEVER happens.

Thanks to my awesome brother, sister-in-law and nephew for getting me totally hooked on their blog....now here is how we can keep everyone up to date on the Tylka Family....


Christmas 2005.... what an awesome week it has been. The girls are so excited. They had such a great time opening presents and spending time with family. But mostly, enjoying being "home" for christmas for the first time. What an awesome experience to not have to have the nagging feeling of a trip to Maryland in the back of our minds.

I actually got 8 loads of laundry done on Christmas Eve morning. It WAS the Christmas Miracle... . Usually the holiday is so rushed and I come home only to worry about all that is backed up.

Here are the ladies in their new 2005 Barbie Jeep...."With a real radio".... they were stylin' compliments of Gram and Pap Pap Fran. Today we had a 60 degree December day and they had a blast cruzin' up and down our new drive way... Of course, our neighbors think we've lost our minds!
